Text Box:
Text Box: The “Report” tab allows you to check student progress in several
different ways.

The “Automate” tab allows you to set parameters for different criteria in your course.  This tab will require training before you use it.  It will, for example, require students to achieve a predetermined score on a test before being able to progress to the next part of the course.

The “Manage” tab is where you manage the course itself.  It is where you set up the grade book, assign teams if you use them, import material, etc.

If you are concerned about whether students will be able to see information or not, there are two ways to determine it.  If the icon for parts of a lesson is dim, the information is not available to the students.  The second way to determine what is available is to click on the sunglasses at the upper right portion of the page.  This will take you to the student’s view of the course.

This CMS seems to be more user friendly than our other system .  You can import documents and tests using Word for Windows or Word Perfect.  The format for different types of tests can be accessed and 50 or 100 question tests can be imported at one time.

There are some quirks that you may run into as you use the system.  If you have problems, we have individuals who can help you resolve your problems.

If you want to play with your course for a semester but you don’t want to allow students to access it while you are learning the system, go to the “Manage” tab, click on “General Course Settings” and then unclick the start date and save the changes.  Students who are enrolled in your course will see the course listed on their home page but will not be able to access it.  You will have to go back to this page to open the course for your students to access the course content.

Good luck working with Angel.  We hope you will enjoy working with the system and that you will find it enhances your course.
