MGF1107: Mathematics for Liberal Arts II, 3 lecture hours, and 3 credit hours.
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of “C” in MGF 1106. This course requires that the student be skilled in Intermediate Algebra. It is strongly recommended that transfer students demonstrate an algebra placement score greater than or equal to 88 or minimum grade of “C” in MAT 1033.
Topics include: Some history on numbers and mathematics; elementary number theory; graph theory; mathematical modeling with exponential and logarithmic functions; and transformation geometry.
