Math Division Meeting

10:00 AM Math Division Conference Room SUW 270

  1. Approval of Minutes of October 19 th
    • Angelia Reynolds approved, Deanna Petersen seconded
  2. From Academic Council
    • Catalog changes were presented on October 22 nd by Business/Culinary, E-Learning, Health Sciences, Library and Natural Sciences
    • Catalog changes were presented on October 24 th by Technology and Wellness and Athletics
      • Technology will no longer offer MTB 1321 and 1322
    • Equipment and personnel lists were presented on October 24 th
    • Catalog changes were presented on October 29 th by Language and Literature and Off Campus & Community Development
    • The Library now has a color printer available to all
      • $1.00 per sheet
      • Ask at circulation desk
  3. The division discussed students not meeting CLAST requirements
    • A statement written by the Director of Student Services clearly defining CLAST requirements was handed out to the division
    • The division agreed to incorporate this statement into course information that is handed out to students at the beginning of the semester
      • MAC 1105 and above
  4. Gerry Wilson thanked the division for having 100% FTYCMA membership
  5. Lloyd Harris reminded everyone to complete their surveys for faculty council
  6. Sharon Hudson reminded the division about the luncheon for Natural Sciences
  7. Leo Lusk discussed feedback he has been receiving on making his 1106 book online only
    • Students still desire a hard copy over an online only version
