Math Division Meeting

10:00 AM Room SUW 270

1. Approval of minutes
• Angelia Reynolds approved the minutes, Lloyd Harris Seconded
2. Gerry Wilson asked the division to consider:
• The division’s expectations for next year
• Ideas for 5 year strategic plan and next year’s plan
• What performance indicators do we want for the strategic plan
• What kind of completion rate number increase does the division think it can attain by fall 2009
3. Gerry Wilson asked the division to consider a students who should be referred to Pam Cooley to get their photo featured on the division tri-fold brochure that is under development
• The division decided the best thing to do would be to choose a student from the ‘Pathway for Success’ award winner.
4. Gerry Wilson demonstrated the new Math Academic Programs part of the Math website, and the student advising worksheets that are under development

5. The division began work on the strategic plan using the new college strategic plan as a guide
6. Gerry Wilson requested that anyone with committee reports email their report to the division
7. Cheryl Flax-Hyman and Gerry Wilson met with one math teacher from each middle school and each high school at the Bay District Office on April 17 th at 8:30 AM
8. 10:57 the meeting was adjourned
